We're 6 months into building our hosted database platform and we've made some major improvements to our auth system and table view.
Supabase is an open source Firebase alternative. We are building the features of Firebase using scalable, open source products.
Two months ago a developer discovered Supabase and (unexpectedly) launched us on Hacker News. Although we had completed only 3 months of development the community support was both incredible and humbling.
After 5 months of building, we're releasing one of our most anticipated features: Supabase Auth.
On May 27 Supabase hit the top of Hacker News and stayed on the front page for more than 24 hours.
We're now 4 months into building Supabase, which means another major update. Here's a few things we think you'll love in this release.
This month we welcome Steve Chavez to the team. Steve is a maintainer of PostgREST, one of the core tools which makes Supabase possible.
